About
SubliminalMind is the work of one photographer based in Massachusetts.
A lot of these were taken at night when the streets are empty and all that's left is the city's silhouette.
The work is, above all, about geometry, symmetry, parallel lines, and repeated patterns. A bridge seen from underneath. A corridor of identical arches. Places built for passing through but photographed when no one is passing through them. Some of these places are famous but most are passed by people every day who overlook them.
Each photograph has a number instead of a title. What you see in each one is up to you.
Prints
Every print is made to order from the original file and sized to the photograph's own proportions. Nothing is cropped.
Each print is identified by the photograph's archival number.
Unframed prints are made on Hahnemühle Photo Rag: a heavy, 100% cotton fine-art paper with a soft, lightly textured matte surface, the classic choice for photographs you will frame or keep yourself.
Framed prints are made on Enhanced Matte Art paper: a lighter, smooth matte paper that sits flat and crisp behind the acrylic front of a black box frame of solid wood, delivered ready to hang.
Payment
Payment is handled by Stripe. Card details are entered on Stripe's secure checkout page and never reach this site.
Shipping
Every print is made to order by a professional fine-art lab and sent directly to you, packed flat or in a protective tube, or framed and ready to hang.
Delivery is free to the United States and Canada; postcards ship within the United States. Every order is confirmed by email the moment it is paid, made within a few business days, and followed by a second email the day it ships.
Orders outside the United States may be subject to import duties or taxes, depending on your country.
Returns
Because each print is made for you, orders can't be returned or exchanged for a change of mind.
If a print arrives damaged or with a printing fault, email within 7 days of delivery with a photo of the print and its packaging, and it will be replaced free of charge.
Terms
Prints, calendars and postcards are made to order once payment is received, and sent directly from professional labs. Prices are in US dollars and include delivery.
Calendars: buy two, get a third free. In every three calendars in one order, one is free, taken off in the bag automatically.
Buying a print gives you the print, not the right to copy or publish the photograph; every image remains © SubliminalMind.
These terms are governed by the laws of Massachusetts.
Privacy
To make and deliver your order, your name, shipping address, email and phone number are shared with Stripe (payment) and the labs that make and deliver it: Prodigi for prints and postcards, Gelato for calendars. Order emails are sent through Resend. Nothing is sold or used for advertising.
This site uses no tracking or advertising cookies, so a browser's Do Not Track setting changes nothing here. Your bag is remembered only in your own browser.
